I've done some updating, though I'm hazy on the boundaries of the old provinces. The old province included at least some territory of the current provinces mentioned, but it may have included only part of each, and/or parts of others. Markalexander100 08:03, 3 May 2004 (UTC)

size?[edit]

The red area is not 2/9ths...

The article currently states:

It thus comprised about 57,000 square miles (148,000 km²) or roughly two-ninths of the former kingdom of Afghanistan.

However, the red area in this map is clearly not 2/9ths, more like 1/20th....Geo Swan 11:52, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
